This guide tries to explains how to choose the right sunglasses or eyeglasses size:

The best way to choose sunglasses or eyeglass size is to measure your 'old' eyewear and choose a similar one. If this is your first pair of glasses to determine the right size do the following:

1. Take a credit card	2. Stand in front of the mirror	3. If note touches the end of the eye

This is the approximate width of a standard size lens.	In front of a mirror or a webcam place one edge of the credit card at the center of your nose. Where does the other edge end?	If the edge of the credit card ends at ehe end of the eye your fit should be medium size If it extends well beyond the end of the eye you should get a small size If instead the credit card does not reach the end of the eye then go for a large size.
